Vintage Boucheron Wood Clip Huggy Earrings

An extremely rare and beautiful pair of Boucheron wood clip on half hooped earrings set in 18k yellow gold. The pair are each set with a carved piece of wood which have each been individually carved into a shell like motif. Each piece is then encased in an 18k yellow gold rub-over setting which is also hexagonally shaped towards the top. This interesting combination of the soft carved wood and striking yellow gold hexagonal shaping makes a lovely contrast once on the ear. The contrast allows the earrings to stand out beautifully and allows them to be worn for a variety of occasions. Each earring is fitted onto a simple yet secure clip-on fitting. Posts can be added for extra security upon request. Both earrings are signed BOUCHERON, 750, and each numbered D35719. They measure approximately 2 centimetres in height and 1 centimetre in width and weight exactly 14.4 grams.
