Vintage Cartier Panthère Double Headed Brooch

A beautiful vintage Cartier Panthère double headed brooch set in 18k yellow and white gold. From a discontinued Cartier collection, the brooch depicts a double headed panther; both of which are grasping a polish yellow gold ring. The body of the panther heads is composed of a coiled design which looks fantastic once on a jumper or coat. The coils reflect elegantly off the light, highlighting the grooves and detailing within the piece. This piece really shows the excellent craftsmanship of the earlier Cartier pieces! It could be worn for a variety of occasions and shows up beautifully. The brooch is secured to reverse with a double pin fitting and roller clasp. For size reference the brooch measures 3.4 x 4.1 centimetres and weighs exactly 17.8 grams. The brooch is signed and hallmarked with French markings, Cartier, 750, 1990 with the serial number 990093.
