Vintage Luca Carati Quartz and Diamond Earrings

An interesting vintage pair of Luca Carati diamond and quartz earrings set in 18k white gold. Each earring is predominately set with an oval cabochon of quartz which is securely bezel set in a white gold open-back setting. Surrounding the quartz are two halos, one of composed of a 38 round brilliant cut black diamonds, and the other composed of two rows of 64 white round brilliant cut diamonds. The contrast between the white and black diamonds is subtle yet incredibly effective and the pair look striking once on the ear. They are secured to reverse with a post and clip fitting. Due to the size and style these earrings could be paired with a variety of jewellery styles and worn for many occasions! There is a slight mark on one of the piece of quartz, but this is completely unnoticeable. For size reference, the earrings measure 2.4 x 1.6 centimetres (from the widest points) and have a combined weight of 15.7 grams. There is a total quartz weight of 4.00 carats. There is a total diamond weight of 3.30 carats. The white diamonds are estimated G/H in colour with VVS-VS clarity. Both earrings are signed and hallmarked Carati, 18K.
